Worder Privacy Policy

Worder is a local-first word search game with solo play and LAN co-op. This policy explains how data is handled.

Overview

Worder does not require an account and does not use ClearforgeStudio servers for gameplay data.

Your progress stays on your device. Co-op sessions run on your local network.

1. Local data

Worder stores some data locally to provide gameplay and progression, including:

  • Puzzle progression and current in-progress grid state.
  • Coins, hint inventory, XP, levels, and unlocked rewards.
  • Daily streak, daily best times, and local statistics.
  • Unlocked categories, selected settings, and language preferences.
  • Purchase entitlements (Remove Ads and coin packs status).

These data are stored on your device (Hive/Shared Preferences) and are not sent to ClearforgeStudio servers.

2. Permissions

Worder may request the following permissions:

  • Camera access to scan QR codes for local co-op join.
  • Internet/network access for ads, purchase validation, and local network sessions.

3. Local co-op and QR

Multiplayer runs on local network only (same Wi-Fi or hotspot). The host device runs the game session and shares it via QR code.

QR data contains local connection details only. No remote relay server is used for match synchronization.

4. Advertising

The free version may display banner ads and rewarded ads. Interstitial support exists and may be enabled in future updates.

Ads are served by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Google may collect:

  • Advertising ID.
  • Device and OS information.
  • Diagnostics and ad performance signals.

5. Purchases (RevenueCat / stores)

Worder offers one-time purchases handled by RevenueCat and the app stores:

  • Remove Ads (non-consumable).
  • Coin packs (consumables): small, medium, big, mega.

Payments are processed by the store provider. We do not access your card or banking details.

6. Puzzle suggestions by email

In Settings, you can send puzzle suggestions through your email app (mailto template).

Only the information you choose to send (topic, words, language, difficulty, app version, OS version) is transmitted through your email provider.

7. Data retention and deletion

You can reset progress from app options or clear app data from device settings.

Uninstalling Worder removes local game data stored by the app.

8. Family use

Worder is designed for broad audiences. We do not intentionally collect personal data from children.
